WELCOME
May and June are months that fly by with bridging rituals, Bronze, Silver and Gold Award ceremonies & leader award dinners just to name a few scouting events. In addition there are outside scouting activities ahead; school promotions, orientations, spring proms and senior graduations. As this time sails past us we’d like to thank you for your continued involvement in scouts. It’s been a pleasure merging and working with the newly named Crescenta Valley Glendale Service Unit leaders and we look forward to another successful year beginning with our Service Unit Meeting on September 15. As we think ahead about our Fall Service Unit activities we’d like you to consider joining the Service Unit Team. Please check our list of open positions and join us for one more year of fun filled activities. Note: Thelma & Louise are retiring in June of 2010, we'd like someone or a couple interested persons to shadow us next year for the Service Unit Managers position.As the Service Unit Team plan year end activities, we truly look forward to the Leaders Appreciation Dinner on May 19 at our newly renovated Program Center in Montrose. The excitement surrounding the completed renovation is palpable.
Summer is quickly approaching, Twilight Camp preparations are underway with a new camp theme. Camp organizers are energized with anticipation of a victorious renaissance camp. Remember May 7 is Camp Registration Night at the Montrose Program Center. Please come join us in June for a week full of fun at Crescenta Valley Park.
We'd like to especially thank, Leonard and his computer team at Caspian Services of Montrose for keeping the Service Unit website looking good and our new form of communication flowing freely for the past year and a half. We highly recommend their services and thank them for serving us with patience and a smile.
We can not say it enough that our Girl Scout community is truly blessed to have talented and dedicated volunteers who give of their time freely and help build girls of courage, confidence and character. Thank all of you for your commitment and enthusiasm in making this Service Unit, our community and the world a better place.
